Appreciation post

Gratitude post

It’s hard to believe that I arrived in London a year and a half ago to pursue my degree. At the time, I was completely new to the city and had never ventured outside my own country. Fast forward to today, and I’m lucky to be surrounded by wonderful friends—both housemates and colleagues—who feel like family. This journey has been incredible, with its share of challenges, of course, but London truly is a beautiful city, brimming with amazing people. Here are some snapshots from my past year!

It’s inspiring to hear about your journey and the connections you’ve built in such a vibrant city. London truly offers a diverse tapestry of experiences, from historic landmarks to modern cultural scenes.

As a resident, I’d like to share some tips that might help you continue to enjoy and thrive here:

    • Explore Different Neighborhoods: Each area, from Camden to Shoreditch, has its unique vibe. Discovering these can enrich your understanding of London’s diverse communities.
    • Get Involved Locally: Joining clubs, community groups, or local events can deepen your sense of belonging and offer new friendships beyond your initial circle.
    • Utilize Public Transport: The Oyster card and contactless payments make traveling across the city convenient, economical, and eco-friendly.
    • Embrace the Cultural Scene: From West End shows to art galleries and street festivals, London’s cultural offerings are endless and worth exploring regularly.
    • Stay Connected and Safe: With the vibrant social scene, remember to look after your well-being and safety, especially when navigating new places at night.
