To the person who stole 5 coats yesterday from the Dublin Castle I hope your bloody proud of yourself

Title: Addressing Recent Theft at Camden Nightspot: A Disappointing Experience

Recently, I had the pleasure of sharing a memorable New Year’s celebration with friends at my favorite venue in Camden—a place I’ve always appreciated for its lively atmosphere and great music. We aimed to kick off the year on a positive note, enjoying good company and a lively environment without breaking the bank.

However, our evening took a disappointing turn when we discovered that five of our coats had been stolen at the end of the night. Despite the presence of numerous other coats in the cloakroom, ours were the only ones missing. To make matters worse, there was nothing of significant value in any of the pockets, suggesting that the theft was likely motivated by the modest value of the items, perhaps a few pounds’ worth on secondary markets like eBay.

The aftermath was frustrating. We approached security for assistance, but unfortunately, our concerns were met with limited support. The security guard’s response was unhelpful, indicating we were “blocking the exit,” and offering little in the way of practical help or reassurance. This experience left us feeling disappointed and vulnerable, especially after a night meant for celebration.

Incidents like these highlight the importance of effective security measures and customer support at public venues. While enjoying nights out should be about having fun and creating memories, safety and respect for patrons’ belongings are fundamental responsibilities of venue management.

We hope that the venue takes this incident seriously and reassesses its security protocols to better protect patrons’ belongings in the future. As consumers and guests, we deserve to feel safe and supported—especially during moments of celebration.
