Discover ARC: South London’s Premier Free Comics Festival
We are excited to introduce ARC, a dynamic new international comics festival set amidst the vibrant landscape of South London. Hosted at the picturesque Copeland Park—conveniently located behind Khan’s Bargains, which itself has risen from recent adversity—ARC celebrates the richness and diversity of contemporary alternative comics.
A Diverse Showcase of Modern Comic Art
ARC brings together an array of esteemed publishers including PEOW, Hollow Press, The Mansion Press, and Breakdown Press. Attendees can explore a wide spectrum of contemporary comic styles, from innovative storytelling to experimental visuals. The festival serves as a perfect platform for fans and newcomers alike to immerse themselves in the evolving world of graphic storytelling.
Engaging Workshops and Prominent Signings
The festival features a series of workshops designed for comic enthusiasts at all levels, offering insights into various techniques and creative processes. Additionally, notable figures such as acclaimed author and illustrator Tom Gauld, director Ben Wheatley—who is also a practitioner of comics—and other industry professionals will be conducting signings and participating in interactive sessions.
Exhibitions and Panel Discussions
Art lovers can enjoy an engaging exhibition at the AMP Gallery, showcasing impressive works from emerging and established artists. Complementing the visual displays, a comprehensive program of panel discussions will take place at The Hub in Camberwell, focusing on topics relevant to contemporary comic art, industry trends, and creative innovation.
