Chingford Fire Station Hosts Annual SEND-Friendly Open Day
We are delighted to announce that Red Watch at Chingford Fire Station will be hosting its highly anticipated annual SEND-Friendly Open Day on Saturday, August 8th, 2026. This special event is thoughtfully designed to offer an enjoyable, inclusive, and relaxed environment for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), along with their families, carers, and friends.
Building on the tremendous success of previous years, this year’s open day promises an expanded lineup of activities, engaging displays, and opportunities to connect with emergency services personnel. Attendees will have the chance to explore the fire station, learn about firefighting and rescue operations, and participate in various interactive experiences—all while supporting a worthy cause.
A cornerstone of this event is its commitment to inclusivity. The organizers have meticulously planned the day to ensure a welcoming atmosphere tailored to meet the diverse needs of all visitors. To maintain a calm and enjoyable experience for everyone, visitor numbers will be managed through scheduled, timed entry tickets. All proceeds from the open day will go towards The Fire Fighters Charity, an organization dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of emergency services personnel and their families.
