Celebrating Connection: The S2S Men’s Community Christmas Gathering and Looking Ahead to 2026
As we wrap up an incredible year, I wanted to take a moment to share some highlights from the Shoulder to Shoulder (S2S) men’s community, a vibrant group committed to fostering genuine connection and camaraderie among men in London.
A Festive Celebration of Brotherhood
Last night marked our annual Christmas party, an event that truly exemplified the spirit of community. Thanks to the generous support of Lucky Saint for providing such an excellent venue, we gathered to celebrate the contributions of members who have gone above and beyond in enriching our group.
The evening was nothing short of memorable. Laughter filled the air as we enjoyed good food, shared stories, and forged new friendships. The highlight surely was witnessing about 20 of us, slightly tipsy, marching together to Bleeker Burger — a humorous reminder of the genuine bonds being built within this community.
Transforming Strangers into Supportive Friends
Reflecting on the journey, it’s remarkable to recognize that at the start of this year, none of us knew each other. We were all strangers with a shared desire for connection. Fast forward to today, and we’ve cultivated a supportive network of over 1,500 men across London. This community has become a space where spontaneous meetups and meaningful interactions happen regularly, enriching participants’ lives both online and offline.
Looking Ahead to 2026
Our plans for the coming year are ambitious and exciting. In January, we’ve booked an entire cinema to watch Michael Mann’s Heat, providing a unique setting for community bonding. Spring will see our first retreat — an opportunity for deeper connection and reflection.
Additionally, we’re fostering local meetups across the city, encouraging members to connect in their neighborhoods. For anyone in London looking to meet others during the holiday break, we’ve organized a gathering on Hampstead Heath on December 27 — an informal chance for some holiday camaraderie.
